I totally understand your issues with the fireclay farm sinks. Cast Iron sinks are different, and are MUCH more durable than fireclay. If you like the look of a white sink, that might be a great option for you. Kohler even has some cast iron farm sinks. The Kohler Stages is a GREAT choice! Did you know that it comes with all of the prep bowls and accessories?

Hi Kymberly,

We are in the midst of a kitchen renovation in our new home. In our old home, my husband insisted on a white china farm sink. I asked him if he was planning on cleaning it. Needless to say, it was stunning but I was constantly scrubbing it. So if you want beauty go with the white. If you want ease of cleanup go with the stainless.

For single bowl sinks, I am in love with the Kohler Vault but it may be too contemporary for you. Since we have the space, we are going for the Kohler Stages 45″ chef style sink. It’s a bit of an indulgence but my husband and I are avid cooks and I know we will be working that sink!
